The UAW Trust OTC Benefit available through uawtrust.org/otcbenefit is a healthcare benefit provided by the United Auto Workers Retiree Medical Benefits Trust for eligible retired members. This program allows members to use an annual allowance to purchase approved over-the-counter health and wellness products without a prescription. The benefit is typically accessed through an OTC benefit card, which can be used online, by phone, or at participating retail stores such as CVS. Eligible products usually include pain relievers, cold and allergy medications, vitamins, first aid supplies, personal care items, and certain medical devices. The allowance is set annually and must be used within the benefit year, as unused funds generally do not roll over. Members can log in to the OTC portal to check their balance, view eligible products, place orders, and manage their benefit easily.
